Frequently asked questions

Can you fly over crowds of people?

No. We strive to run the safest AP business and we will not commit to any projects that will endanger people.

How high can your helicopter fly?

The limit of the radio control transmitter is close to a mile. At that distance, the helicopter would not be visible. We keep the altitude range between 30’ to 200’ but can safely go up to 400’.

Can you see what the camera sees?

Yes. We can view what the camera is pointing at in real time using a 900-MHz video downlink. This system feeds a video signal into a pair of glasses which the camera person uses to simultaneously look at the helicopter for orientation and the camera’s view to frame the shot.

What kind of weather can the helicopter operate in?

We strive for quality photos so we do not schedule photo sessions during inclement weather. For safety reasons, we will not operate the sensitive equipment in rain and high wind conditions. For dusty areas, we carry a portable launch pad or we may require access to water to wet the area down.
